Cultural Kaleidoscope Publishing is a not-for-profit organization founded to nurture today's children, into tomorrows artists, by helping a child explore their personal greatness through written and verbal communication. CK Publishing wants to teach writing, not just as a skill, but as an art. At the same time providing the child communication and entrepreneurial skills that will be transferable to anything they do in the future.Writing skills will be important from first-grade through college and throughout adulthood. Cultural Kaleidoscope Publishing believes by building writing and language proficiency, students develop important social skills and remain engaged in education.We provide year long workshops that will demonstrate writing. We will offer the children the opportunity to bring their lives to the class and put their lives on the page. |

Childrens Writing Today
Recent test scores show that student's writing lacks clarity, coherence, and organization. Only a few students can write persuasive essays or competent business letters. As many as one out of four students have serious writing difficulties. And students say they like writing less and less as they go through school 
By being aware of both the child's score on the assessments and the overall score for the schools, Cultural K Publishing realizes that "many schools are unable to give children sufficient instruction in writing." There are various reasons: teachers aren't trained to teach writing skills, writing classes may be too large, it's often difficult to measure writing skills, etc. |

Cultural K Publishing believes we can make a big difference. We will use strategies that are simple and fun. We will use them to help the child learn to write well--and to enjoy doing it! Cultural K Publishing program will revolutionize the way reading and writing are taught by publishing the kids writing and helping them market and sell their work.
Cultural K Publishing is committed to preparing the children for quality survival in the real world. We don't put the idea that we are "entitled" to a plethora of privileges. What we are entitled to is "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Cultural K Publishing wants the children to understand what it means to "pursue," to achieve through their own efforts.  |

What is Writing:
Practical- Most of us make lists, jot down reminders, and write notes and instructions at least occasionally
Job-Related- Workers write frequently--preparing memos, letters, briefing papers, and the like. Most workers do "some" writing on the job.
Stimulating- Writing helps to provoke thoughts and to organize them logically and concisely
Social- Most of us write thank-you notes and letters to friends at least now and then.
Therapeutic- It can be helpful to express feelings in writing that cannot be expressed so easily by speaking.
